Available Homes: We have two beautiful homes available for rental on a short term basis (please see rate breakdowns on the home's individual page- buttons above) that are fully furnished with all utilities, linens and kitchen wares. Cleaning Fees, high speed internet access, digital cable with many available movie channels (including HBO) as well as digital music are included in your rate. A landline phone with answering machine is also provided for your convenience. We will rent for stays less than 7 days, but the cleaning fee is not included in the rates (the only additional fee for brief stays).
At first glance it may seem that we are pricer than some other vacation homes, but that is because we put our rates and fees all together to avoid disappointment on your end. The "add ons" (taxes cleaning charges, internet, linen fees etc.) average around another 20% of the advertised rate. On the other hand, we have location, location, location.
Our Neighborhood: It's hard to believe that you are in the perfect Los Angeles location- close to all of the studios, Malibu, the Westside and the Valley. It is just miles from either LAX or Burbank Airport and a beautiful drive along Sunset Boulevard to the beach in Malibu.
Beaches: Southern California has many beaches to choose from but here is an article about our 5 favorite beaches, courtesy of Daily Candy- we just happen to agree! The easiest and prettiest way to the Ocean? Just head down the hill and turn right on Sunset Blvd. you will be heading west and will run straight into Malibu while taking in the sights of Bel Air an Brentwood Neighborhoods. The less scenic, but faster route to the water? Turn right on Sunset Blvd., then left on La Cienega to the 10 Freeway. Go west and Exit at 4th Street. Make a left, then turn right on Pico (there is a gas station there). You will see the water and make your choice (this drops you off the in Casa Del Mar/Santa Monica Pier/ Venice Beach areas. Keep in mind, the freeways are never faster if you are traveling during traffic times. And that includes late weekend mornings when it is sunny in LA.
Golf: There is no shortage of golfing spots in the area, for any budget. You can have a look at our Golf area to find detailed information.
Winter Sports: It is unlikely that you are coming to Los Angeles to Snowboard or Ski- but you can do just that this winter. Take a break from the usual Los Angeles to-do list and spend a day at the slopes! One of the only places in the world where you can chose to either surf or ski when you wake up! You can check the snow reports at Snow Summit and Big Bear before you go in our own Snow Sports area.
How many are you bringing along? We do have additional sleep arrangements such as futons, aerobeds, pack and plays and portable children's beds to best accommodate your family or group's needs. Just ask (yes, we include the linens).

Environmentally Sensitive Amenities: Because Homes of Laurel Canyon is concerned with the environment we use environmentally sensitive amenities that are made using 90% post consumer non-bleached board, vegetable based soaps and natural formulations with minimal preservatives. All printing is done directly on the bottles thereby eliminating excess paper waste and all products are printed with organic based soy ink. The bottles are a biodegradable product called plastarch material or PSM. PSM is a polymer that is derived primarily from corn, which is not only biodegradable, it is a renewable resource. Other features include minimal packaging, post consumer non-bleached board, low fragrance, and soy ink.

Work: Laurel Canyon has been the home of many celebrities over the years (yes, there is a movie) . If George Clooney, Christina Applegate and Justin Timberlake live here, we assume that you will prefer it over any other area in Los Angeles as well. Stay just three lights from Sunset Boulevard, but a world away. Plenty of trees and wildlife (including deer!). Although you are in the center of everything Los Angeles, you feel a world away!
Are you going to be in town for work? This neighborhood is accustomed to the never ending business of Hollywood with easy door to door service from Fed-Ex, DHL, USPS and UPS and their daily deliveries. Work from the outside patio in the trees while the hummingbirds whiz by. It is a great alternative to corporate rentals such as Oakwood.

A full service spa is just down the road at Burke Williams on Sunset Blvd.
Touring: It is never boring with Jim Morrison's house down the street and Harry Houdini's nearby. There's a fantastic vintage Canyon Country Store at the end of the street for snacks, meals (they have a deli) and groceries. If you don't feel like taking the walk, they also deliver. Housed under the Country Store is the Italian restaurant PACE. At PACE you are likely to bump into someone you have seen on the silver screen, at a concert or your television set. If you would like to enjoy this restaurant, make sure to reserve a table, especially after 6pm on most nights, as its a busy place, even without any advertising.

Want to discover Hollywood?
If you enjoy music, you can see what tickets are available at the Hollywood Bowl, the House of Blues or old Hollywood favorites like the Roxy or Whisky-a-go-go. Interested in theatre? There is always the Kodak Theatre (home of the Oscars) and the Pantages.
Shopping is easy! You can head down the road to Sunset Plaza for boutique and high end shopping, Melrose to hunt trendy finds, The Grove for shopping, dining, and movie theatre (you can buy your tickets online). Of course, there is always Rodeo Drive.
For sports fans, Los Angeles is the home of the Lakers, Clippers (NBA), The Kings (NHL), Dodgers (MLB) and even horse racing, if that is your thing.

Film and television location shoots will be charged $1249 per day- you must be able to provide your own insurance.
